Product Description

Zinc Plated One-Hole Conduit Clips are simple, cost-effective fastening devices designed specifically for securing electrical metallic tubing (EMT), rigid metal conduit (RMC), or plastic-coated metal conduit to walls, ceilings, joists, studs, or other flat surfaces. Characterized by their minimalist single-bolt mounting design, these clips provide a quick, reliable, and economical solution for organizing and routing conduit runs in electrical and low-voltage installations.

Features of conduit straps

1. Material & Finish

Base Material: Made from low-carbon (mild) steel for strength and formability at low cost.

Surface Finish: Electroplated with a zinc coating (typically 5-8 microns) for basic corrosion resistance and a clean, silver-gray appearance. May include a clear or blue chromate passivation layer to enhance corrosion protection.

2. Structural Design

Single-Hole Tab: The defining feature is a flat, extended tab with a single pre-punched mounting hole. This allows for fast installation with one screw or bolt (often a #10 or 1/4" size).

Semicircular Cradle: The clip forms a 180-degree (half-circle) saddle that cradles the conduit. The inner radius is precision-formed to match standard conduit outer diameters (OD).

Spring-Loaded or Fixed Design:

Fixed "J" or "U" Shape: The most common type; the conduit is laid into the fixed cradle.

Spring-Steel Clip: Some versions are made from spring-tempered steel, allowing the clip to be snapped over the conduit for a tight, tool-less grip before mounting.

3. Key Characteristics

Unlined Interface: The inner surface is bare, zinc-plated metal, providing direct contact with the conduit.

Lightweight & Low Profile: Designed to be discreet and minimize material usage.

Fast Installation: The single-hole design significantly reduces installation time compared to two-bolt clamps.

Advantages of conduit straps

Cost-Effectiveness: Extremely economical, making them ideal for large-scale projects with many support points.

Quick & Easy Installation: The simplest mounting system—drill one hole, insert one fastener, and lay in the conduit.

Space Efficiency: Their low profile is ideal for tight spaces or surface-mounted applications where clearance is limited.

Adequate for Standard Loads: Perfectly suited for securing lightweight to medium-weight conduit runs in static applications.

Basic Corrosion Protection: Zinc plating protects against rust in dry, indoor environments.
