How to Install and Tighten Heavy Hose Clamp

Slide the clamp onto the hose.

Push the hose firmly onto the fitting until it seats completely.

Position the clamp over the area of the hose that covers the fitting's barb or ridge.

Hand-tighten the T-bolt until the clamp is snug.

Using a wrench or socket, apply final torque in small increments. It is crucial not to over-tighten, as this can damage the hose, strip the threads, or even break the clamp.
